Writing that Killer Cover Letter

In this workshop participants will discuss the best way to apply for a job. They will write a cover letter for a specific job and learn about general marketing letters. Participants will check their resumes and discuss options for layout and design. They will also learn tips to help them complete company application forms.

Before, During, and After the Job Search

This workshop discusses general information about effective job searches. Participants will discuss tips for resumes, cover letters, networking and job interviews. This workshop is designed to provide a boost to those clients who are discouraged with the job search results and needing some tips to get back ‘on track’. It will also cover steps on how to keep a job once it has successfully been obtained.

Removing the Interview Jitters

Participants in this workshop will develop confidence in interviewing by practicing how to answer tough interview questions. Participants will be able to differentiate between skills based questions and behavioral questions.

Where are the Jobs?

Clients in this workshop will discuss how and where to gather information about the local labour market. Using the Internet, they will find job postings, average rates of pay, job descriptions and information about companies that are hiring.


What is Labour Market Information?

Many people are successful in their job searches because of personal contacts. In this workshop participants will learn techniques of successful networking to find the hidden job market.

Personality DimensionsTM

In this workshop participants use the self-discovery process to identify the temperament or personality that is most like them from one of four temperament-based, colour coded Picture Cards. The temperaments correspond to the following colour names: Authentic Blue, Organized Gold, Inquiring Green, Resourceful Orange.

Radical Resume Writing

In this workshop participants will learn what to include in their resumes and how to prepare them so employers will be interested. They will learn techniques for effectively producing a resume.
